Practical Information

Using Your Insurance

Before Your Appointment

  • GP referral: Most insurers require a referral letter from your GP before authorising a consultation. Please request this in advance.
  • Pre-authorisation: Contact your insurer to obtain pre-authorisation for your consultation. They will issue an authorisation code, which you should bring to your appointment.
  • Membership details: Have your policy number and membership details available when booking.
  • Excess and co-payments: Check your policy for any excess or co-payment that may apply — this is your responsibility to settle with the clinic.

During & After Your Appointment

  • Direct billing: Where your insurer has a direct billing agreement with Mr Singh, consultation fees will be invoiced to them directly — you need not pay up front.
  • Further authorisation: If investigations or surgery are needed, further authorisation will be required. Mr Singh's team can assist with procedure codes for your insurer.
  • Procedure quotes: A full quote covering all surgical fees (surgeon, anaesthetist, hospital) will be provided, which can be submitted to your insurer for approval.
